Christian Indie Film Held Over in New Hampshire Theatres

"Do You Believe?" has an all-star cast; drew $3.6 million at the box office last week.

The low budget indie “Christian-message” film “Do You Believe?” which opened last week has been held over for at least a second week at five New Hampshire theatres due to positive attendance, according to an organizer of group ticket sales.

The film, which stars Mira Sorvino, Cybill Shepherd, and others, is being described as a spiritual version of “Crash,” because it “weaves together a number of different characters and storylines, and features a complicated auto-accident into the plot,” according to one reviewer. The film grossed about $3.6 million last week.

The film has been extended at the Cinemagic Cinemas in Merrimack and Portsmouth as well as the Regal Cinema in Newington, O’Neill Cinemas in Epping, and Flagship Cinemas in Derry, according to Tom Saab of Christian Film Productions.

In press statement, Saab said that promoting the film was a good way to not only let people know about the ministry of Christ but also Christian films, in general.

“Please encourage your congregation to invest in the ministry of Christian films by coming out to see this outstanding movie,” he said.
