Citizen, Business of the Year Nominations Sought by Chamber
Greater Derry Londonderry Chamber of Commerce wants to hear from members of the community in preparation of October event.
DERRY, NH — The Greater Derry Londonderry Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for the organization’s annual Citizen of the Year and Business of the Year awards, according to a press statement. The Citizen of the Year award recognizes an individual in the Greater Derry Londonderry area who has contributed to the betterment of the community through volunteer service and civic leadership, while the Business of the Year award recognizes a business or organization in the Greater Derry Londonderry region that has demonstrated outstanding leadership and contributions to growth of the business community, entrepreneurial spirit, business growth and development, and dedication to community service.
“The Citizen of the Year Award and the Business of the Year Award are among the highest honors bestowed in our region each year and serve to exemplify those individuals and businesses and that lead by example,” said Greater Derry Londonderry Chamber of Commerce President Will Stewart.
Nominations can be made through Tuesday, Sept. 6, at gldchamber.org/awards. Nominees or those nominating them need not be members of the Chamber.

The awards will be presented at the Chamber’s Annual Dinner to be held the evening of Thursday, Oct. 6, at Birch Wood Vineyards in Derry. The Annual Dinner is the organization’s signature event and attracts upwards of 200 members of the local business community to network and celebrate the accomplishments of the Chamber. The theme of this year’s dinner is “A Night at the Oscars.”
