Closures, Delays Expected On Interstate 93 In Londonderry
Drivers are asked to use caution due to upcoming roadwork on Interstate 93 in Londonderry near Exit 4 next week.
LONDONDERRY, NH — Nighttime drivers are asked to use caution next week on Interstate 93 North in the area of Londonderry, where roadwork will be ongoing starting Tuesday. Traffic delays and lane closures are expected near Exit 4 between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. During this time, crews will conduct line removal, stripping and concrete barrier relocation on the northbound side of I-93, according to the N.H. Department of Transportation.
Lane closures will be in effect between mile marker 10.5 and 12.8. Message boards, uniformed officers, traffic control devices and smart work zone devices will be on site to direct drivers and notify them of construction. The upcoming work is dependent on weather and may require rescheduling, according to the DOT.
The roadwork is part of a $62.2 million project that includes construction of the I-93 area near Exit 4, including the on-ramps and off-ramps. Also part of the project is reconstruction of Route 102, including reconstruction of the Route 102 bridge over I-93, and the area of Pillsbury and Ash Street, including the bridge over I-93. The contractor on the job is RS Audley, Inc. of Bow.
