Emergency Vehicles And Gear Being Sanitized Due To Coronavirus
Soil-Away, a company in Hooksett, is sanitizing vehicles and gear for multiple first responder departments.
HOOKSETT, NH — Soil-Away a local company in Hooksett usually specializes in the cleanup from fire and water damage. When the Coronavirus Pandemic began affecting the state of New Hampshire the company decided to offer a free service to help emergency personnel. Fire, police, and EMS agencies run 24/7 and are on the front lines responding to incidents with people who may be infected with COVID-19.
Although PPE is used on the scene many of the contaminants cross over onto gear and into vehicles.
Josh Solloway, COO of Soil-Away reached out to departments in New Hampshire and offered to sanitize the vehicles and gear free of charge. The departments coordinate to bring the vehicles to the Hooksett location or Soil-Away will go on-site.

The technicians from Soil-Away use a ULV Fogging device to apply a product to the gear and any exposed surface. The product is a hospital grade sanitizer on the EPA "List-N" which kills COVID-19 and other germs on contact.
Soil-Away has performed the service on over 50 vehicles since starting the process, and the list is growing by the day.

The product when sprayed on surfaces dries quickly, and the vehicles can be immediately put back into service and ready to respond to more emergencies.
