Free Education Series Available for Dementia Caregivers in Londonderry

The Alzheimer's Association is presenting a series of education programs on essential skills for family caregivers.

From The Alzheimer’s Association: The Alzheimer’s Association is presenting a series of education programs on essential skills for family caregivers. The first program in this series will be held Tuesday, April 25 from 4 - 6 p.m., at Elliot Memory and Mobility Center, 40 Buttrick Rd, Londonderry. Two additional programs will follow at the same time and place on May 2 and 9.

The Essential Skills for Family Caregivers series provides education and practical tools to those caring for someone with dementia. The goal of the series is to improve day-to-day living and overall quality of life for the person with dementia and the caregiver. The series covers communication techniques,strategies to manage difficult behaviors, and safety in the home. Essential Skills is free and is intended for family caregivers.
