The Fuji Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Halloween Massachusetts Open

Kevin Smith and Ed Tapia from Woo Kickboxing Won at The Fuji Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Halloween Massachusetts Open in Danvers, MA on Oct., 27th.

Local Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitors, Ed Tapia and Kevin Smith competed at the The Fuji Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Halloween Massachusetts Open that was held at Danvers Indoor Sports, this past October 27th.

Kevin Smith has 6 months of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training from Professor Joe Kvetkosky, at Woo Kickboxing in Londonderry. This is Mr. Smith's first Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competition. Kevin took 1st place in the gi and 2nd place in his no gi division. He won his first match with a triangle choke with his legs. Mr. Smith has lost close to 20 pounds in those 6 months and has now won a gold and silver medals.

Ed Tapia took 2nd place in the gi and 1st place in his no gi division.

Woo Kickboxing of Londonderry's Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fighters, locally known as "Team Woo" are led by Brazilian Top Team, Black Belt, Professor Joe Kvetkosky.
