Golden Corral's First New Hampshire Location Opens
Golden Corral, which is popular in many parts of the country, has opened its first location in NH on South Willow Street in Manchester.
MANCHESTER, NH — Golden Corral has arrived in New Hampshire!
At 11 a.m. Monday, the doors to the first Gold Corral in the state opened its doors. More than 40 people lined up about 30 minutes before the opening to be assured of their seats and being one of the first to eat in the new restaurant on South Willow Street.
Steve Leary and Lenny Abreu, who are franchise owners, were pleased with the turnout and happy with the restaurant opening on schedule. Before the coronavirus pandemic hit, the restaurant had been scheduled to open Aug. 17. With the hard work and dedication of the staff and contractors, the goal was accomplished.

The restaurant is located at 655 South Willow St, in the property called “The Shoppes.” The original building, which housed Osram/Sylvania, has been completely remodeled. Golden Corral is one of many new businesses to come to the retail space.
The Golden Corral in Manchester is 11,000 square feet and normally would have a capacity to seat 340 but due to rules surrounding coronavirus in the state, it can only be at 50 percent capacity. Each day the restaurant offers 160 food items and a very large salad bar. The restaurant pricing is based on an “all you can eat” model with different prices for adults and children.

The restaurant currently has about 40 employees, and like many restaurants, is struggling to fill all positions. They currently are looking to hire 30 more people. In the mean time, they have employees from other Golden Corral locations to fill the shortfall.
The restaurant is now open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily and eventually will open earlier for breakfast items.
