Interstate 93 Reopens After Onramp Crash In Londonderry
Update: The highway at Exit 5 in Londonderry was temporarily closed as medical teams medflighted a crash victim Monday.
LONDONDERRY, NH — A single-vehicle crash with injury closed parts of Interstate 93 South to traffic Monday. New Hampshire State Police and Londonderry firefighters were sent to an accident report in the area of the onramp at Exit 5 at just before 8 a.m. They found a vehicle, with one occupant, crashed into trees.
The driver was extradited from the vehicle at around 8:30 a.m. with serious injuries. A medical helicopter was called to the scene to prepare to transport the victim.
At around 8:45 a.m., state police have a rolling roadblock on the highway to allow the helicopter to land. The highway was shut down again at 9:15 a.m. to allow the medical helicopter to take off.
