Loeb School Honors Foley
NH journalist who was executed overseas receives 1st amendment award; Donald Trump also makes donation to foundation in his name.
The parents of slain journalist James Foley accepted the Nackey Loeb School First Amendment award last night, according to press reports, including the New Hampshire Union Leader.
Foley was the 12th recipient of the award, which is given out to citizens and organizations that protect or exemplify the tenor and purpose of the Constitutional free press provision. He was murdered in August of this year after being kidnapped in Syria 18 months before.
Developer Donald Trump, an on again, off again presidential candidate, gave the keynote speech and also made a donation to the foundation that Diane and John Foley have created to honor their son.
