Londonderry Liquor and Wine Outlet Opens May 12

Existing Londonderry NH Liquor and Wine Outlet will close May 1; new 15,000-square-foot location opens in Market Basket Plaza.

LONDONDERRY, NH - More than triple the size of the existing store and located in a highly-desirable shopping plaza conveniently located off I-93 at Exit 4, the New Hampshire Liquor Commission (NHLC) will open its newest NH Liquor & Wine Outlet on Nashua Road in Londonderry on Thursday, May 12, 2016, according to a press statement.

The new 15,000-square-foot outlet will boast an expansive selection of more than 4,200 sizes and varieties of wines and spirits in a new and improved shopping setting featuring temperature-controlled wine cabinets, wider aisles, high-efficiency LED fixtures and iPads for perusing inventory and food and wine pairings.

The new NH Liquor & Wine Outlet will be positioned across the parking lot from the existing 4,000-square-foot store (#74) at 34 Nashua Road. The existing Liquor & Wine Outlet will close May 1, as the building housing the store is scheduled to be demolished as part of the overall redevelopment of the property. With the new store opening May 12, NHLC is directing customers to the NH Liquor & Wine Outlet (#61) located at the Londonderry Travel Plaza at Exit 5 off Interstate 93, and the NH Liquor & Wine Outlet (#20) in the Derry Meadows Shopping Plaza on Route 28 in Derry during this transition.

“This new NH Liquor & Wine Outlet in Londonderry is the latest example of the New Hampshire Liquor Commission’s commitment to strategically investing in its 79 statewide stores in an effort to continue to increase profits,” said NHLC Chairman Joseph Mollica. “This new store will feature a dramatically expanded retail space, an enhanced selection of wines and spirits, and a more comfortable and inviting shopping experience. We expect this new Londonderry store to generate $8.5 million in sales each year, helping NHLC continue to deliver record revenues to the New Hampshire General Fund.”

With exposure to more than 26,000 daily motorists, the newly constructed NH Liquor & Wine Outlet will be situated alongside Market Basket, TJ Maxx, Home Goods and several other national retailers. The popular plaza is adjacent to the entrance of Woodmont Commons, a proposed $1 billion, 600-acre, village-style development.
