The Londonderry Old Home Days, a five-day event, will feature a Derry v. Londonderry softball game, parade, fireworks, carnival, music, more
LONDONDERRY, NH — The annual Old Home Days are coming to Londonderry this week, as the town celebrates its 120th anniversary. The five-day event will feature fireworks, a parade, contests, air balloon rides, and a softball game of police and firefighters of Derry and Londonderry. The fun will take place this Wednesday through Sunday, Aug. 18.
The softball game is planned for Friday night at Londonderry High School. It will feature the longstanding rivalry between Derry and Londonderry. Community members are invited to get their game faces on and cheer for their town, as Londonderry police officers and firefighters battle those of Derry. The game will take place at 6 p.m.
After the game, there will be music by the band Manchuka and fireworks by Atlas Fireworks. Manchuka is an eight-piece band with a five-piece horn section, a full rhythm section and several lead singers. These seasoned musicians will provide light jazz, big band swing and some high-energy dance music from the 60s, 70s and 80s.
