Londonderry Police Say Rabies Case Confirmed In Town

A dog got into a fight with a rabid raccoon on Holton Circle on Tuesday. A drive-thru clinic will be held Saturday in Hudson.

LONDONDERRY, NH — Londonderry police are notifying the public that a raccoon that got into a fight with a dog on Tuesday on Holton Circle has been confirmed to have been rabid.

The raccoon showed signs of rabies, was sent to Concord to be tested, and was confirmed to have tested positive. Capt. Patrick Cheetham of the Londonderry Police Department said this was a good time to remind residents to be warned about rabies.

"Please remember to keep an eye on your pets while they are in your yard and especially if you are walking them out in public," he said.
