LONDONDERRY, NH -- A Londonderry Middle School teacher was recently arrested and accused of threatening to shoot a student. Steven Dwyer, 51, was charged with criminal threatening, according to the Union Leader. He was placed on leave, according to Scott Laliberte, superintendent of Londonderry schools.
The student said Dwyer made the comment as the student had his head down on his desk, police told the Union Leader. Laliberte declined to elaborate on the student's accusation.
"It is important to remember that all persons must be presumed innocent until they are proven guilty," Lalliberte said in a statement. "As always, the safety, security and well-being of our students is our top priority."
