Readers also commended Juliano's Italian Pizzeria on Nashua Road for gluten free options and

"Throughout the pandemic Julianos has gone above and beyond," Stacy said. "They have not only maintained their great menu and service, but also stepped it up with social distancing requirements and even offered contactless pick up or delivery. In addition, the owner set up a Community Pantry where anyone could get food/personal items free. At a time when families were falling on hard times due to Covid, the fact that he worried less about his business and more about the community made an impact on so many people. Our family has always enjoyed their food, but we chose to go out of our way to support a small business that gives back so much to the community!"

Paula added, "Julianno's gives back to the community, as they hosted a food pantry when Covid 19 first became an issue in NH and many people couldn't work or find supplies. They lined two walls with food and supples for those that needed them. They are currently supporting the Greater Derry Humane Society by raising funds at the restaurant and on his online order website. Julianno's is not just about having fantastic food-which they do, and I know because we order out there at least once a week-it's about all of us being in our community, helping each other out."

Talia's Breakfast And Eatery on Nashua Road was praised by Jeanine: "Elissa, Chris and their staff have gone above and beyond accommodating our family, especially my 95 year old father-in-law's favorite pastime - eating out! Because of the pandemic, he has not been able to go to his usual activities such as lunch and cards at the senior center, so being able to get out of the house, have a great meal and just see the outside world have been a godsend for him. They put a couple of tables outside of their restaurant where we were able to eat our take out meals and he was so thrilled! They even acknowledged his 95th birthday with a balloon, plant and cookie cake! Talia's is a family run business that is run like family! They really care about their customers and the community!"

O'Shea’s Caife & Tae on Nashua Road was heralded by Samantha for having the best food and service. "They always brighten my morning," she said. "They are innovative and different. Always creating new things, like the O’dippers."

Joseph L. Wingate, DDS, was praised for serving the community for more than 45 years while Troy's Fresh Kitchen & Juice Bar on Orchard View Drive was said to have great food and service, too. Harrington Florist was praised for being creative.
