Man Barricaded In Hotel Arrested With Another Man With Explosives
Brian Elliot, wanted on warrants, barricaded himself in a Manchester hotel. Anthony Cook was charged felon in possession of a deadly weapon.
MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester and Goffstown police, and Hillsborough County Sheriffs located a man wanted on felony charges at the Holiday Inn Express on Monday.
The suspect Brian Elliot, 30 barricaded himself in the hotel and refused to come out. SWAT and MPD Negotiators were called to the scene and attempted to convince Elliot to surrender. The hotel guests were evacuated to a safe area while the incident was being resolved.
After several hours of speaking with Elliott, he agreed to come out and was safely taken into custody. Investigators later located a firearm hidden inside the hotel room.

Elliott and was charged with felon in possession of a deadly weapon, as well as falsifying physical evidence, resisting arrest, and possession of controlled drugs.
The incident Saturday night involved Goffstown Police attempting to stop Elliot for the erratic operation of a vehicle towing a trailer on Mast Road. Elliot crashed the vehicle and fled on foot after allegedly pointing a firearm at the officer.

Goffstown police charged him with criminal threatening-deadly weapon, felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, possession of narcotics, and operating as a habitual offender, all felonies as well as disobeying an officer and reckless operation.
In addition to the Goffstown Police charges, Elliott had outstanding Felony warrants out of Strafford County and Carroll County and additional criminal charges from the Manchester Police Department.
During the course of this incident, officers located a man hiding in the wood line of the hotel. The male was identified as Anthony Cook, 31 who is currently on federal probation. While investigating the circumstances of Cook hiding in the area, officers found him to be in the possession of homemade explosive devices and metallic knuckles.
It was also determined Cook had been called to the area by Elliott. Cook was arrested and charged with possession of an infernal machine, felon in possession of a deadly weapon, and loitering/prowling.
The New Hampshire State Police Explosive team was called to the scene to render the items found safe to be removed from the area.
Guests were allowed to return to the hotel once the incident was over.
Both suspects were scheduled to be arraigned in Hillsborough County Court on Tuesday.
