New Traffic Pattern In Londonderry With Roadwork
Traffic will be impacted near Exits 4 and 5 on Interstate 93 in Londonderry due to one-lane traffic amid roadwork.
LONDONDERRY, NH — New traffic patterns will be in place on Interstate 93 in Londonderry during upcoming roadwork on Interstate 93 South. The work is scheduled to take place in the area of Exit 4 in Derry and Exit 5 in Londonderry during nighttime hours Thursday, overnight into Friday. One of the lanes will be closed during that time, and minor delays are expected.
According to the N.H. Department of Transportation, work is scheduled to take place from 8 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday, weather permitting. During that time, crews will conduct line stripping for a new traffic pattern, as part of a $35 million widening and reconstruction project on I-93 between the two exits.
The contractor on the job is Weaver Brothers Construction of Bow. The work will take place between mile markers 15.4 and 13.2 on I-93 South, according to the DOT. Message boards and smart work zone devices will be on site to warn drivers of the upcoming lane closure and altered traffic pattern, and rolling roadblocks may also be needed, DOT officials stated. Drivers are asked to use caution and be alert.
