​Shane Reddy takes 1st at the New Hampshire NAGA Championship

Shane Reddy, from Woo Kickboxing Academy of Londonderry, takes 1st place, at The North American Grappling Association's New Hampshire Championship.

The North American Grappling Association (NAGA) is the world's largest mixed grappling tournament circuit with over 750,000 competitors worldwide. Shane Reddy trains Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at Londonderry's Brazilian Top Team affiliate, at Woo Kickboxing Academy of Londonderry. Reddy was recently promoted to a, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, blue belt on March 3rd, 2021.

Shane took 1st place in the Gi / Blue Belt / 150 - 159.9 (Light Weight) / Adult division and 4th place in the No-Gi / Intermediate / 150 - 159.9 (Light Weight) / Adult division. Mr. Reddy used a collar choke in the Gi, which put his opponent to sleep for the win.

Shane was one of 6 Brazilian Top Team competitors to win at the New Hampshire Championship. Shane Reddy, Angelo Fortes, Ed Tapia, Jose " Jay Jay" Atiles, Maria Iogansen, and Zach Danesh all placed high enough in the tournament to earn, Brazilian Top Team, 3rd place out of 63 teams.

There are only 3 Brazilian Top Team, black belt instructors in all of New Hampshire and 2 off them teach at Woo Kickboxing of Londonderry. Professor Joe Kvetkosky teaches the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu / Adult / Gi classes and Professor Jose Hermoza teaches the No Gi / Adult / Grappling class.

Professor Joe Kvetkosky, had this to say about Mr. Reddy, “With the amount of preparation Shane put in, we were confident he would do well. This was his first competition at Intermediate and he nailed it”.

In Professor Jose Hermoza words, “We at Brazilian Top Team Londonderry work as a team to achieve the best results. To train Jiu Jitsu you need a training partner, so it is important to have a team ready to help each other. When one of us wins, we all win, and when one of us loses, we lose together. We are more than a team, we are a family”.
