MANCHESTER, NH — Spirit Airlines, a low-cost airfare carrier, is now expanding service in New Hampshire with new flights to central Florida, starting in October, the company said on Wednesday.

Beginning Oct. 7, nonstop flights will be running daily to Fort Lauderdale and Orlando from the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport. In November, the airline will offer flights four times a week to Fort Myers and three times a week in Tampa.

"We can't wait to welcome guests from around Manchester onboard and show them why Spirit is the best value in the sky," Matt Klein, the executive vice president and chief commercial officer for Spirit Airlines, said. "We looked closely at what New Hampshire travelers want and we saw a great opportunity to give them easy access to some great vacation destinations. We look forward to partnering with the community to kick-off service, strengthening our local ties, and adding more flights in the years to come."
