Team Woo BTT Competed at the Good Fight's, Maine Championship

Team Woo BTT competitors Alyssa Marini, Amber Famisan, Benjamen Simon and Ed Tapia competed at the Good Fight, Sub-Only, Maine Championship.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitors Alyssa Marini, Amber Famisan, Benjamen Simon and Ed Tapia traveled to Riverton Community Center (GYM); 1600 Forest Ave. Portland, Maine 04103 on October 5th to compete at 2019 Maine Championship.

Alyssa Marani earned 1st place in the gi by submitting her opponent in the finals with an armbar and took 2nd place in her No Gi division. Marini continues her winning streak in the gi. Marani took 1st at the The Good Fight’s, Sub-Only, Rhode Island Classic, August 3rd and 1st place in the gi at the Good Fight’s, Sub-Only, Boston Open this past June 22nd. Alyssa will also be back in the cage fighting at Combat Zone 72 @combatzonemma Manchester, NH at the DoubleTree, Hilton hotel, on November 23rd. This will be Alyssa Marani 4th MMA fight.

Benjamen Simon executed triangle choke submissions, with his legs, to get him to the finals in the Gi and No Gi divisions. Mr. Simon took 2nd place in the Blue Belt, Gi, 30-39 yrs, Welterweight division and 2nd place in the Blue Belt, No Gi, 30-39 yrs, Welterweight division.

Ed Tapia took 2nd place in the Blue Belt, Gi, 16-29 yrs, Light Heavyweight division and also took 2nd place in the Blue Belt, No Gi, 16-29 yrs, Light Heavyweight division.

Amber Famisan took 2nd place in the Blue Belt, Gi, 16+ yrs, Lightweight division and 3rd place in the Blue Belt, No Gi, 16+ yrs, Lightweight division.
