Wilton Man Charged in Off-Road Crash in Londonderry

A Wilton man is facing several charges after crashing his off-road vehicle in Londonderry, injuring his passenger in the process.

LONDONDERRY, N.H. - A Wilton man is facing several charges after crashing his off-road vehicle in Londonderry, injuring his passenger in the process. According to the Union Leader, conservation officers first responded to an area in Derry but later learned the accident had actually occurred in Londonderry.

They located Joel Pelletier, 22, of Wilton, who had been driving his OHRV on private property without permission when he tried to make a sharp, left-hand turn and rolled the machine over onto its side.

The passenger, Sean Mitchell, 31, of New Boston, suffered injuries and was taken to Elliot Hospital in Manchester for treatment. No further information was known about Mitchell's condition Saturday, officials said.

Neither person on the OHRV was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Pelletier was also charged with operating an OHRV on a public way and driving it on property without permission of the landowner.
