LONDONDERRY, N.H. - A Londonderry woman is recovering after being trampled by her own horse at Lucky 7 Stables on Tuesday. According to the Union Leader, the woman’s injuries do not appear to be serious, but she was transported to Elliot Hospital in Manchester to be examined.

Lucky 7 Stables owner Bruce Lemieux said the woman was taking out her horse, which weighs about 900 pounds, to have its hooves trimmed at the on-site farrier area when the animal suddenly began behaving erratically.

“The horse kind of spazzed out and basically ran over her,” Lemieux said. “For some reason, the horse spooked.”
