5 Things To Know In Merrimack: NASCAR, New Apartments, Eclipse
This week in Merrimack, new apartments will be reviewed and a NASCAR race car will make appearance. Also, a partial lunar eclipse is coming.

MERRIMACK, NH — The big NASCAR race is coming, and Anheuser-Busch has some fun events in store. Drivers, however, should be aware of some traffic issues. Here are the top five things to know in Merrimack this week.
- NASCAR fans will be in for a treat this weekend at Merrimack's Anheuser-Busch Biergarten, which is hosting a big watch party on Sunday. The brewery will also have the iconic No. 4 Busch Beer Ford Mustang available for photos the day before the race. And with many people expected to flood New Hampshire roads for the race in Loudon, be aware of what the highways might look like. If you're driving, expect delays.
- Traffic delays are also expected on Pearson and Peaslee roads in Merrimack due to roadwork. Road stripping is scheduled for Sunday night into Monday, and base pavement work is set to begin toward the end of the week. Also, traffic delays will continue on Bedford Road due to bridge construction. One-way alternating traffic is still in effect between Pearson Road and Catskill Drive. Use caution.
- New apartment buildings on Daniel Webster Highway are being considered by the Planning Board this week. Forty apartments are planned at 360 Daniel Webster Highway and 21 apartments are planned at 747 Daniel Webster Highway. The Planning Board will take up the proposals at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Town Hall.
- Why not register to vote this week? The library is hosting a special event.
- There will be an interesting partial lunar eclipse Tuesday. Accuweather is calling it a thunder moon. It's following the solar eclipse that occurred last week.
