Dave will always be remembered for his selfless commitment to Merrimack, serving in many capacities as a member of several town boards and committees. Councilor Yakuboff served on the Town Charter Commission from June 2005 through February 2006; served as a member of the Merrimack Town Council since September, 2008, acting as Vice Chairman and, most recently, as Chairman; and served on the Town Highway Garage Building Committee in 2013.

As a successful local businessman, who was also known to be very involved in the community, Dave was "quietly generous" to those who needed his help. He was always there to offer his kind support - never turning away anyone who needed his assistance. This is a great loss for his family and for our community.

Colleagues of Yakuboff said he would be remembered for his service to Merrimack, but first and foremost as a good neighbor, a good friend and a fine family man.
