Franklin Savings Bank Awards Scholarships To Merrimack Graduates

Graduates from Merrimack High and 5 other schools received scholarships from Franklin Savings Bank, which awarded $17,900 total this year.

FRANKLIN, NH — This year, Merrimack High School was among five other schools whose graduates received scholarships from Franklin Savings Bank. The bank recently awarded a total of $17,900 in scholarships to 17 graduating high school seniors. Other scholarship recipients included graduates of Franklin, Gilford, Merrimack Valley, Newfound Regional and Winnisquam Regional high schools.

"We are proud to support the aspirations of graduating seniors with their goals to pursue higher education in their chosen disciplines," said Ron Magoon, president and CEO of Franklin Savings Bank. "As a community bank with strong ties in the communities we have proudly served for 150 years, we are honored to assist high school graduates and their families who may be faced with the challenge of paying for higher education."

The Franklin Savings Bank Scholarship Fund was established in 1994. It aims to offer support to students pursuing higher education. To date, the bank has awarded 627 scholarships totaling $332,500.

Franklin Savings Bank is headquartered in Franklin and has offices in Merrimack, Goffstown, Boscawen, Bristol, Tilton, Gilford, as well as in Bedford for business lending.
