Homestead Restaurant Staff Steps Up to Fill Need for Pies

With a pie shortage ahead of Thanksgiving, the Homestead Restaurant helped the St. James Food Pantry in a big way over the weekend.

This is the kind of thing that Thanksgiving and the holidays are all about: People helping people.

When the St. James Food Pantry was in need of pies, employees at the Homestead Restaurant and Tavern stepped in and baked and baked to help them add the 70 pies they needed to finish up their Thanksgiving baskets.

This act of generosity comes just two weeks after the restaurant served free prime rib dinners to more than 300 veterans on Veteran's Day.

Kudos to the staff of the Homestead who made this happen.
