The following crime-related incidents have been reported in Merrimack for the time period starting July 24 to July 28.

MERRIMACK, NH — The following crime related incidents were reported by the Merrimack police for the time period of July 24 to July 28. Arrests do not indicate guilt. The names of any minors have been omitted.
Wednesday, July 24 — Steven Ellis Jr., 30, of Amherst, was charged with operating under the influence of liquor (OUIL), second offense, and operating a vehicle after revocation. Police say he was arrested after an officer found a vehicle stopped on Daniel Webster Highway, with the occupant, Ellis, appearing to be sleeping behind the wheel. According to police, he showed signs of impairment and his driver's license had been suspended due to a previous OUIL charge.
Saturday, July 27 — Ivan Vargas, 27, of Merrimack, was charged with operating without a valid license. Police say he was charged after being stopped for a vehicle infraction on Amherst Road in the area of Meetinghouse Road.

Kenneth Pfabe, 53, of Manchester, was charged with DWI and having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle. Police say he was charged after police received a complaint about a vehicle driving erratically onto oncoming traffic, almost striking another vehicle. Police say he appeared impaired and refused to take field sobriety tests. He then started his car again, and police arrested him thinking he was going to drive away. They found an unsealed vodka bottle in the passenger area of the car, police say.
Sunday, July 28 — Derrick Vossbrink, 32, of Merrimack, was charged with DWI and two counts of possession of marijuana. Police say he was arrested after an officer saw a vehicle parked in the back parking lot of a closed business, and that Vossbrink, who was in the vehicle, showed signs of impairment. After field sobriety tests, police deemed Vossbrink driving while impaired and he was arrested. Police also found him in possession of marijuana, according to police.
