Merrimack Fire Responds To Crash On Snow Covered Everett Turnpike
A single-vehicle crashed on the Everett Turnpike in very snowy conditions Sunday afternoon. Two people were transported to the hospital
Merrimack, NH - A vehicle lost control in the southbound lane of the Everett Tpk Sunday afternoon around 330 pm.
The original call was for a rollover accident, however, it appears the vehicle left the roadway hitting an embankment but landing on all four wheels.
The vehicle had heavy front-end damage, and two occupants required transport to a local hospital. The injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

Merrimack Fire Rescue responded to the accident which was about 1 mile south of the Exit 12 on-ramp. NH State Police put out flares in an effort to keep traffic down to one lane. Traffic backed up for a few miles as the accident was cleared from the roadway.
NH State Police and local police departments responded to over a hundred accidents in snowy conditions. NH DOT trucks were out plowing and treating the roads, but the snow-covered roads remained slippery.
