Merrimack Holiday Parade, Candy Cane Hunt 2018

Merrimack's annual holiday parade and candy cane hunt is set for Sun., Dec. 2, at 3 p.m.

MERRIMACK, NH -- The stage is set for Merrimack's holiday parade this weekend. The parade, which steps off Sun., Dec. 2, at 3 p.m., is part of the town's annual "Holiday Happenings" celebration that includes a candy cane hunt and an appearance by Santa.

The candy cane hunt is at Twin Bridge Park at 2 p.m. for children up to age 4. For children age 5 to 10, the hunt starts at 2:15 p.m. The event is free though individuals must register at nashua.macaronikid.com.

The parade starts at The Commons Shopping Center at 3 p.m. It then travels down the Daniel Webster Highway to Baboosic Lake Road and McElwain Street. The parade ends at the Town Hall parking lot.

Following the parade, there will be an appearance by Santa at Abbie Griffin Park at 3:45 p.m. The park will also be lit for the season.
