Merrimack Man Arrested On Drug Trafficking Charge

CONCORD, NH — A Merrimack man was arrested on Monday on a drug trafficking charge after a multi-month investigation following a Manchester traffic stop in October 2020.
Police stopped Kyle Mehlhorn, 27, on Oct. 27, 2020, while driving in the Queen City. After checking his license and registration, police found his privileges were suspended and he was arrested.
Investigators requested and obtained a search warrant for the vehicle, according to Mary Ellen McMahon, a public information officer and paralegal specialist with the U.S. Attorneys Office.

"(They) recovered firearms, over $14,000 in cash, over 37 grams of suspected fentanyl, over 214 grams of suspected methamphetamine, and other items commonly used in the packaging and distribution of controlled substances," she said.
Mehlhorn was arrested in Boston on Monday and is scheduled to appear before a federal magistrate on Tuesday.

McMahon said along with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Concord, Gorham, and Manchester police as well as New Hampshire State Police troopers were all involved in the investigation.
Mehlhorn, according to superior court records and posts on Patch, is no stranger to police and has several past criminal accusations and convictions.

Back when he was living in Bow in June 2010 and was a teenager, he was accused of burglary, criminal liability, and attempted theft after an incident in Nashua and then burglary, theft, and criminal trespass charges in June, July, and September 2010 in Nashua. He pleaded down to theft and trespass charges in October 2011. He was later charged with violation of probation or parole in February 2012.
In July 2011, Mehlhorn was accused of "upskirting" women at York's Wild Kingdom zoo in Maine, according to press reports.
He was accused of unarmed robbery in Manchester in May 2013 and found guilty. He was found guilty of violation of probation or parole in September 2015 and February 2016 — after being arrested for possession of a deadly weapon in Merrimack and falsifying physical evidence in Nashua during two separate incidents. The charges were dismissed later. In March 2014, he pleaded guilty to a second-degree assault charge after an incident in Manchester.
Mehlhorn was arrested again on a dangerous weapon charge in August 2015 and weapon, assault, resisting, and drug possession charges after an incident in Merrimack in December 2015. As part of a plea deal, the weapon charges were dropped.
In January 2017, he was arrested again on weapon, crack cocaine possession with intent to distribute, drug possession, driving after revocation or suspension, and transport drugs in motor vehicle charges after an incident in Bedford. He pleaded guilty later to the weapon and transport charges.
