Merrimack Police: Man Repeatedly Violated Protective Order

A Hudson man was arrested this week after violating a protection order three times, according to Merrimack Police.

MERRIMACK, N.H. - A Hudson man was arrested this week after violating a protection order three times, according to Merrimack Police.

Michael Bonenfant, 53, of Hudson, N.H. was arrested on three counts of violation of a protective order and released on $5,000 personal recognizance.

According to police, Bonefant was picked up on Monday on an outstanding warrant stemming from three incidents in which he violated a protective order.

On May 5, 2018, the victim reported that between Apr. 16 and May 5, Bonenfant sent multiple text messages to the protected party. On Apr. 28, the victim said Bonenfant followed the victim home and waited at the front door of the residence and attempted to have a conversation with the victim.

The victim reported that Bonenfant appeared within 300 feet of the victim again on May 2 at the victim’s child at a sporting event.

Both parties are named in the protection order. After a brief investigation, a warrant was issued for Bonenfant’s arrest.

Bonefant was transported to the 9th Circuit Court in Merrimack for arraignment.
