Merrimack Police Seek Tips After Gunfire Damages Sheds, Vehicles
At least 20 bullets were fired on Monday morning at a property on Tinker Road causing thousands of dollars in damages; reward offered.
MERRIMACK, NH — Police are asking for the public's help after property on Tinker Road was damaged on Monday due to at least 20 bullets being fired into two sheds and two vehicles.
Police were sent to the road around 2:30 a.m. for a report of "multiple gunshots heard in the area," according to Lt. Chris Spillane of the Merrimack Police Department. After searching the area, police found no evidence of gunfire. However, about five hours later, a resident on Tinker Road reported a lot of damage caused by gunfire, he said.
"Officers observed damage to two sheds and two vehicles located on the property which was caused by at least 20 rounds of gunfire," Spillane said. "Several thousand dollars worth of damage was done to the property."

Police are asking for assistance with the case. Any witnesses can call Dets. Walters or Preston at 603-424-3774. Anonymous tips can also be made to the department's tip line at 603-424-2424.
"We are asking area residents to check their surveillance cameras for any evidence of the crime or suspicious activity in the early hours of May 17," Spillane added.

There is a $500 reward for information leading to an arrest in the case, he said.
