Merrimack Street Parking Ban Suspended Through Christmas

Merrimack's winter parking ban was lifted through Dec. 26 at 11 p.m.

MERRIMACK, NH — Merrimack's winter street parking ban was suspended through Christmas, police announced Friday. The ban is issued every winter from November 15 to April 15. During that time, no on-street parking is allowed from 11 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Police said the ban was lifted through Dec. 26 at 11 p.m. to accommodate visitors for the holidays.

"We understand that the holiday season is about gathering with family and friends, therefore the overnight winter parking ban will be lifted," Merrimack police said in a statement. "Please celebrate responsibility and rest assured your car will not get ticketed or towed for overnight parking ... Happy Holidays!"
