Multiple Merrimack Overdoses Prompt Community Alert
Merrimack police said one person died and two others were critically injured after suspected fentanyl overdoses.

MERRIMACK, NH — One person died and two others were left in critical condition after suspected fentanyl overdoses across Merrimack over a recent three-day period. The rash of overdoses prompted police to issue a community alert as officers investigate the source of the drugs. No arrests have been made.
"It's important for our community to know what we're dealing with and to take note of it," Merrimack Police Capt. Michael Dudash told Patch.
The first overdose happened Friday and the others happened over the weekend. The three individuals range in age from 19 to 41. The individual who died was a woman.

Officers recovered samples of the drugs, which are being tested.
Dudash said officers are reaching out to the public for tips in the case. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 603-424-3774.
