Nashua Man Accused Of Providing False Info During Gun Purchase
Eric Hendrickson was arrested on Thursday in Merrimack accused of providing false information during the purchase of a firearm in February.

MERRIMACK, NH — A Nashua man was arrested on Thursday on a false information charge, accused of attempting to purchase a firearm and offering inaccurate information on the purchase application that was flagged during a criminal history check.
According to police, on Feb. 5, Eric Hendrickson, 59, of Tumblebrook Lane in Nashua, attempted to purchase a gun at a licensed firearms dealer in Merrimack. Lt. Chris Spillane of the Merrimack Police Department said, as required by law, Hendrickson filled out an application that included questions about past criminal history, including convictions that might prevent him from purchasing a firearm.
"Once the form was completed, it was submitted to the New Hampshire State Police Gun Line for review," he said.

On Feb. 24, the criminal investigations bureau received information from state police about the attempted purchase.
"It was determined that Hendrickson was untruthful about a previous conviction that would prevent him from purchasing a firearm," Spillane said. "Based upon this information, an arrest warrant was issued charging Hendrickson with the misdemeanor level offense of false information; purchase of a firearm."

The specific information was not available at post time. However, according to superior court documents and the Nashua Telegraph, Hendrickson was arrested in November 2012 in Nashua on a felony driving while being certified as a habitual offender charge as well as a single count of driving without giving proof of financial responsibility. As that case made its way through court though, it became a driving after revocation or suspension charge, a misdemeanor. In June 2013, Hendrickson pleaded guilty to the charge and received a suspended sentence.
Hendrickson was arrested on Thursday, processed, and released on personal recognizance bail. He is due back in Merrimack County Circuit Court on April 13.
