Pickup Truck Crashes Into Garage, Other Vehicles In Merrimack

The Merrimack Fire Department has deemed the building unsafe and estimates damage to be around $8,500.

MERRIMACK, NH — Merrimack fire and rescue teams and police officers were sent to a crash on Joppa Road Wednesday after a pickup crashed into a garage and a minivan.

First responders were sent to the crash at just after 12:30 p.m. When they arrived, they found a pickup truck had "left the road and crashed into detached garage and then into several parked vehicles," according to John Manuele, the department's fire marshal.

"(Firefighters) also reported the driver was out of the car and walking around," he said. "Ambulance personnel treated and released the driver."

The vehicles were determined to be in OK but the building was unsafe to enter without having it supported by bracing, Manuele said.

"Fire personnel secured some live electrical wires from a sheared off light pole in the front yard," he added.
