Police Charge 2 with Heroin Possession

The arrests came as a Merrimack Police officer checked out what appeared to be a suspicious car parked behind a business.

The Merrimack Police Department arrested two people on charges of heroin possession June 17, after an officer stopped to check out a suspicious vehicle parked behind a local business.

Police said Michael Johnson, 29, of 35 Bray Hill Road, Whitefield, and Beth Philibotte, 33, of 31 Tucker Mill Road, New Boston, were charged.

Johnson was scheduled to be arraigned June 17, while Philibotte's court date is June 26.

Police allege that Johnson and Philibotte were in possession of heroin as they 
sat in the vehicle.
