Police ID Motorcyclist in Bedford Road Crash
Police say the Merrimack man left the road and rode across a lawn before being thrown from the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist who suffered life-threatening injuries when he crashed on Bedford Road in Merrimack on June 7 was not very far from his residence, according to Merrimack Police.
Police identified the motorcyclist as Stephen Hill, 59, of 105 Bedford Road. The accident occurred at 73 Bedford Road at around 4 p.m.
Hill was flown to Massachusetts General Hospital for treatment Saturday night.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Hill, operating a 1981 Yamaha 650, was traveling westbound on Bedford Road when he left the paved part of the road and rode across the front lawn of the resident at 73 Bedford Road before losing control of the motorcycle and being thrown from it onto the driveway, according to police.
The Merrimack Police Accident Investigation Team is continuing to investigate. Anyone with any information related to the accident is asked to contact the Merrimack Police Department at (603) 424-3774.
