Police: Naticook Road Resident Was Growing Pot in Home

Merrimack police arrested a Merrimack man on marijuana possession and manufacture charges after they say they saw plants growing in the man's Naticook Road home during an investigation into a separate issue.
Police arrested Martin Poulin, 45, of 201 Naticook Road on Wednesday night on one count of manufacturing marijuana and one possession count.
Police say they responded to Poulin's home to follow up on an investigation of n assault that had possibly taken place at the house. During their investigation, officers found a quantity of marijuana that was being manufactured inside the residence. The plants were in plain sight of the officer’s who had been invited into the residence.
According to a press release, the home owner admitted to the officers that he had been growing a small amount inside his residence for a short period of time.
Poulin was transported to the Merrimack Police Department where he was processed. His residence was secured while officers applied for a search warrant. After the search warrant was approved, the officers conducted a thorough search of the residence and discovered another small amount of Marijuana, police say.
Poulin was placed on $3,000 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear Dec. 10 for his arraignment in Merrimack's district court.
