3 Hurt In Serious Crash In Merrimack On Bedford Road

Three people were taken to the hospital after a pickup truck struck a treeon Merrimack's Bedford Road Sunday evening

MERRIMACK, NH — A serious vehicle crash was reported in Merrimack Sunday evening on Bedford Road. The accident occurred at the intersection of Woodridge Road. Police alerted the public about the incident around 6:20 p.m. on Sunday.

Three people were transported to the hospital as a result of the crash, WMUR-News 9 reported. The Merrimack police told the TV station that the three people were in a white pickup truck when it crashed.

According to the New Hampshire Union Leader, the accident occurred when the pickup truck struck a tree. Two of the crash victims had to be extricated from the vehicle by fire officials.

The affected portion of Bedford Road was closed to traffic as emergency personnel worked on the scene of the accident. Police told drivers told to avoid the area.
