Top 5 Things To Know In Merrimack: Trump Rally, School Shopping
The Merrimack Premium Outlets are offering some big back-to-school sales, and opposing Trump-Biden rallies will take place in Manchester.
MERRIMACK, NH — President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden will hold opposing rallies in nearby Manchester this week. Also, Merrimack Premium Outlets are offering deals on back-to-school shopping, and traffic delays are in effect for roadwork. Here are the top five things to know in Merrimack this week.
- Trump's rally will take place this Thursday at 7 p.m. in nearby Manchester, at the Southern New Hampshire University. Biden will hold a counter rally at the Portland Pie Co. in downtown Manchester at 6 p.m., according to the Union Leader.
- If you're traveling on Interstate 293 this week, be aware that there is a new traffic pattern on the bridge going over the Merrimack River. The new pattern expected to continue through October. It is part of the roadwork being done between Merrimack and Bedford. The new pattern will allow for construction to take place, according to New Hampshire Department of Transportation.
- The Merrimack Premium Outlets are having back-to-school sales of up to 65 percent off, as students in Merrimack prepare to go back to school on Sept. 3. A new store, UNTICKit, has opened Friday at the outlets. Other recently opened stores include Book Warehouse, Pepper Place, and Arie by American Eagle Outfitters.
- Alternating one-day traffic will be in effect on Daniel Webster Highway starting this week. Crews will be crack sealing. Drivers are asked to expect delays and use alternative routes if possible.
- This Wednesday's summer concert will take place at the Merrimack Public Library. It will be a children's concert, starting at 6 p.m.
