Traffic Stop By Merrimack Police Led To Arrest Of Candia Woman
A Candia woman was stopped by Merrimack, NH Police who discovered she didn't have a valid license and accused of drug charges

MERRIMACK, NH - On August 5, 2020, a New Hampshire woman was arrested by the Merrimack Police Department and charged with operating after suspension, possession of prescription drugs without a prescription and possession of drugs in a motor vehicle.
At approximately 6:25 a.m., a Merrimack Police officer was patrolling the area of Daniel Webster Highway in the area of Maple Street when he observed a motor vehicle commit a minor motor vehicle infraction. The officer subsequently stopped the involved motor vehicle and made contact with the operator who was identified as Heather Lynn Cook, 30 of Candia, NH.
While speaking with Cook, the officer learned that she did not have her NH driver license in her possession and after conducting a NH records check, it was learned that her driver license was suspended for failure to provide proof of insurance. Upon further investigation, Cook was also found to be in possession of prescription drugs without a prescription and was subsequently placed under arrest.

Cook was processed and released on personal recognizance bail. She is scheduled to appear before the Merrimack 9th Circuit Court on September 14, 2020, to answer to the charges.
