Vehicle Accident Closes Road, Splits Pole In Merrimack

Police closed a portion of Amherst Road Wednesday afternoon after a vehicle collision that resulted in a split utility pole.

MERRIMACK, NH — Police closed off a portion of Amherst Road Wednesday morning after a vehicle collision in the area of Naticook Road. Two vehicles involved in the crash were damaged and a utility pole was broken. Police have not confirmed injuries.

Merrimack police alerted the public about the road closure as a result of the crash around 10:15 a.m. The closure was in effect on Amherst Road between Meetinghouse Road and Cross Street. Detours were set up until the scene was cleared.
