What's Going on at the Old Zyla's?
A fresh coat of paint and some other construction has had people buzzing about the work being done at the old Zyla's auction house and discount retailer.

After standing vacant for five years, painting and construction work has started at the old Zyla's on Daniel Webster Highway.
According to a story in the Nashua Telegraph, Charles Morgan, owner of Morgan RV Storage in Manchester is under agreement to purchase the property, a deal that is expected to go through in about four months after he puts about $150,000 of work into the property.
Morgan said the back building, a 40,000 square-foot space, is being renovated to house RV and boat storage. He is upgrading mechanical systems, the fire alarms and adding new sprinkler system.
The former main retail space is the secondary project on his list.
Morgan told the Telegraph he is also going to renovate the 22,000 square-foot retail store and "resurrect" it to be a retail space that would hopefully attract a high end retailer. He expects the space will be ready sometime in the second quarter of next year.
Zyla's, which closed in 2008, 54 years after the late John Zyla first opened shop, was a beloved store in town, described as a place where you could find just about anything.
In addition, Zyla's held auctions on the weekend of anything from Cabbage Patch dolls to lava lamps.

“If they didn't have it, you didn't need it,” said Bob L'Heureux in October 2011, when the building was on the auction block to be sold. L'Heureux was an 18-year part-time employee who helped out at the auctions on the weekends.
