Woman Charged with Simple Assault, Criminal Mischief

Merrimack police arrested a woman July 5 on charges of simple assault, criminal mischief and possession of prescription drugs.

Police said Stephanie Mayo, 19, of Derry St., Merrimack, was charged Saturday night after officers responded to a car parked on the side of Daniel Webster Highway for a report of a domestic disturbance.

Mayo allegedly assaulted two family members and, when she was processed at the police station, was found to be in possession of prescription drugs without a prescription, according to Merrimack police.

Mayo was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail and she was scheduled to appear in court July 8 to answer to the charges.
