Boys & Girls Club to Bring Former Celtics Player to Milford
A fundraiser has been started to bring Chris Herren over to speak about substance abuse.

A local effort is in place to bring a former Boston Celtics player Chris Herren to Milford to talk about his recovery from drug abuse.
The Boys and Girls Club of Souhegan Valley will have Herren speak at their Milford location on Sept. 11 at 6:30 p.m. The basketball player’s struggle with drug use almost took his life, but he is now sharing his story of recovery to spare others the same fate.
A fundraising event has been planned this weekend to fund his trip, and an online fundraiser has also begun.
