Chamber Welcomes New Owner to Milford Subaru

MILFORD, NH - The Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce welcomed Sheree Kaplan as the new owner of the Milford Subaru dealership with a ribbon cutting on Jan. 27, 2016.

Kaplan purchased the dealership on Nov. 11, 2015.

Kaplan is no stranger to selling cars, according to a press statement. She is the second generation of her family to own an auto dealership; her father opened an auto dealership in Providence, RI, 65 years ago and Sheree grew up in the business. When her father passed away in 1991, Kaplan purchased her father’s business and moved the Jaguar/Land Rover dealership to Warwick, RI. A few years later, Kaplan opened a second Jaguar/Land Rover dealership in Norwood, MA. Kaplan’s son, Eddy Allen, is the third generation of her family to work in the business in the Norwood location.

Kaplan was actively looking for a Subaru dealership to add to her businesses.

“I always loved the Subaru brand,” said Kaplan. “ So, I started looking for a dealership to purchase and found Milford Subaru. I’m really looking forward to growing the business and being part of the Milford community.”

Kaplan said that when it comes to growing a business, it’s all about people.

“I love people and meeting new customers,” she said. “When I opened the Norwood dealership and grew it to one of the top Land Rover dealerships in the country, it was because we really cared about treating people right. After 23 years as a dealer, I still have many employees who started with me.”
