Dedicated Volunteer to be Immortalized in Softball Field
The late Robert R. Carson, Jr. will have a softball field named after him at Kaley Park
A passionate athlete who passed away earlier this year will have his name on a field for the sport he loved most, according to The Cabinet Press.
Robert R. Carson, Jr. of Wilton was killed in a car accident on Route 101 in April. He was a longtime coordinator of the adult coed softball league in Milford. In his honor, the softball field at Kaley Park will take on his name.
He worked in the foundry at Hitchiner Manufacturing in Milford for many years, and left behind three children and a grandson.
