Try not to do this when you know the rain is coming....you don't want to dilute the solution.

DO NOT spray this on ANYTHING that you want to live. IT WILL destroy it.

Why I don't like the store bought weed killer.

Roundup is a very popular weed killer. It is produced by biotech giant, Monsanto. The major ingredient in Roundup is something called glyphosate. This product pretty much will kill any plant it comes in contract with. It's use increased dramatically after the GMO glyphosate-resistant crops were developed. (I.E; soybeans, corn and canola are the big ones)

In animals studies, glyphosate has been found to disrupt beneficial gut bacteria. (1) There has even been indications that gluten-sensitivity and celiac disease have increased due to the use of Roundup. (2) But more studies are needed in this area.

The scary part (in my opinion), Roundup contains more than just glyphosate; it also contains a lot of other ingredients. Some of these ingredients are not even listed and are kept confidential by the manufacturer and are called inerts. (3)

Roundup has been linked to many diseases, but is still considered a 'safe' herbicide by many organizations. I guess the word 'safe' can be considered a relative term!

Bottom Line:

We are bombarded every day with chemicals, in our personal care products, outdoor products, in our food supply, the water we drink, and cleaners we use for our home. With that said, I like to do everything I can to "lessen" the amount of chemicals myself and my family (pets included) are exposed to.

Won't you join me in lessening the chemical exposure to our planet and to ourselves?

Thanks for reading.
