Chapanga’s Wins Adult Coed Softball League Championship Game

Milford Recreation Adult Coed Softball league caps off 2016 season at Memorial Field in Kaley Park.

The Milford Recreation Adult Coed Softball league finished its 2016 season on Sunday at the Robert “Bubba” Carson Jr. Memorial Field at Kaley Park. Chapanga’s took home the championship trophy, winning 16-8 against the Thundercats on Aug. 28.

“We’ve been here before. It feels good to pull it off,” Chapanga’s Mason Tremblay of Wilton said after the game.

The team’s sponsor for the past three years, Chapanga’s Griddle and Grill, closed in July according to its Facebook page. Tremblay said the team would be back next year and probably with a new name.
