Milford Candidates Running for the House, Senate
Peter Bragdon's retirement from the Senate means an open seat and a great deal of interest. Gary L. Daniels, Daniel Dwyer, Dan Hynes, Maureen Mooney and Roger H. Tilton want to be your next state senator.
The state candidate filing period closed June 13 and the top of the ticket features races in which Republicans are trying to unseat Democratic incumbents, from the governor's office to U.S. Senate.
The state filing period closed at 5 p.m. Friday, but the Republican and Democratic parties have until June 18 to fill vacancies on party tickets.
Below is a look at the candidates filing for local seats, according to the Secretary of State's website updated June 13 (some last-minute filings may not be represented in the state's report just yet, and will be updated Monday; incumbents' names are in bold):
